Intern/Extern Analyst

   Responsibilities:

  • Working with a team possessing valuable experience from such companies as BCG, Prudential Securities, and Morgan Stanley, interns will be responsible for a variety of projects that would require them to utilize strong quantitative, analytical and qualitative skills.
  • Projects could include: Developing patent-pending financial software tools, researching and writing reports for publication in major journals and creating quarterly performance reports and presentations.
  • Term employment may also be an option.
  • Graduating students may also apply since this opportunity may potentially evolve into a full-time position.

   Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • The ideal candidate will possess excellent analytical and quantitative skills, a strong understanding of financial principles, be outgoing and creative, take initiative, work well in groups, and be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience programming in C/C++, VB or Java and prototyping algorithms in Matlab is a must. Certification in any of the above a plus.
  • Financial background preferred. A quantitative finance background would be ideal
  • Series 65 a plus
  • Experience with Matlab Optimization and Statistics Toolbox a plus

   Education and Experience:

  • An undergraduate degree in a quantitative discipline from a reputed university.
  • Graduate studies in operations research, financial engineering would be a definite plus.

Administrative Assistant

Provide sales, marketing and administrative support to Principal (s). Perform functions for shared office responsibilities.

   Responsibilities:

  • Provide pre-sales assistance to Principal (s) by coordinating all requirements for marketing and sales information and planning time commitments with appropriate business coordinator
  • Organize and provide Principal with all materials (RFPs, etc.) supporting ongoing sales process
  • Prepare client and vendor correspondence for Principal
  • Facilitate ongoing ad hoc human resources requirements for company
  • Act as front-line for all incoming communication via telephone/fax/posted mail and provide immediate customer service by responding to client's needs
  • Perform routine tasks such as mail distribution, phone management, maintaining calendars, etc.
  • Provide support for office equipment (including shared equipment) and plan maintenance. Equipment includes computers, printers, scanner, copiers, fax and postage meter
  • Order office supplies, including overnight mail and kitchen supplies, maintain supplies and track depletion and replenishment needs
  • Create, change and delete security authorizations for building access
  • Consistently adhere to office standards and procedures and suggest improvements

   Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Customer service focus with clients, principals and business community
  • Effective and efficient interpersonal, verbal, and written skills
  • Ability to prioritize as well as handle multiple tasks efficiently
  • Strong time-management and organizational skills with attention to details
  • Ability to change priorities and respond to principals quickly
  • Initiative, follow-through, and teamwork with Principal and clients is essential
  • Honesty, integrity and a high degree of discretion

   Education and Experience:

  • 3-5 years financial services experience
  • Familiarity with human resources function
  • Research experience desired in a financial services environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools
  • Series 65 a plus

Technology Associate

Provide IT implementation and support to the SCA infrastructure and client network.

   Responsibilities:

  • Working with a team possessing valuable experience from top consulting and investment companies, the analyst will be responsible for a variety of projects that would require them to utilize strong quantitative, analytical and qualitative skills.
  • Projects could include: Working on patent-pending financial software tools from development through installation at client sites and further consulting, ongoing maintenance of existing software and company IT infrastructure.

   Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • The ideal candidate will possess excellent analytical and quantitative skills, be outgoing and creative, take initiative, work well in groups, and be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience programming in C/C++, VB, C# or Java and prototyping algorithms is a must. Certification in any of the above a plus.
  • A strong understanding of financial principles preferred. A quantitative finance background would be ideal. Consulting experience a plus.
  • Series 65 license or equivalent financial certification is a plus
  • Experience with Matlab Compiler, Optimization and Statistics Toolbox, ASP.NET, SQL Server a plus

   Education and Experience:

  • 2-5 years Implementation and database interfacing experience would be a definite plus.
  • An undergraduate degree in a quantitative discipline from a reputed university.
  • Graduate studies in operations research, financial engineering would be a plus.
